Ratkill is a quick, acting easy to use rodenticide used in baits to control field rats, mice and other harmful rodents. It can be used in open dumps, as torpedo baits (wrapped in 4x4 banana leaves for easy retrieval of uneaten baits) as well in fields of rice, corn, sugarcane and other crops.

Directions for Use:
Pre-baiting – Prepare crushed rice, corn, dried fish, or any food stuff relished by rats. Place ½ tbsp of the bait on banana leaves where rats regularly stay or near their burrows. Pre-baiting may be continued for 2 days to ensure acceptance of the bait.

Poisoned Baits- Use the same material used in the pre-baiting. Mix thoroughly 2 to 3 grams of Ratkill with 100grams of bait materials. Put the poisoned bait at night in places where it cannot be reached by domestic animals. The poison baiting will be for one day only. Remove and bury all leftovers. If rat nuisance reoccurs carry out in a similar baiting procedure after 2 weeks.

Storage and Disposal- Store in original container in dry, well built in and ventilated rooms/ premises of sufficient dimensions to avoid contamination with vapour or dusts and far away rooms/ premises used for storing other articles, especially food articles or keep under lock and key. Remove destroy and bury all empty containers, surplus materials, leftover baits and animals killed by Ratkill far away from human habitation so as to prevent environment/ water pollution and protect scavenging birds and animals.

Symptoms of Poisoning: Signs of Poisoning may occur after inhalation or after ingestion which may be manifested early as fatigue, buzzing in ears nausea, pressure in chest and uneasiness in mild poisoning. Sever poisoning is characterized by general fatigue nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, excitement, agitation and chills.

Poor Prognotic Signs: dyspnea, shock, olliguria, pulmonary edema, metabolic acidosis, hypocalcaemic tetany, convulsions, coma.

First Aid Measures:

If Swallowed – Induce vomiting by making patient drink a glassful of water and stroking the back of the tongue with  a blunt instrument. Administer 3.5% Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) to prevent conversion to phosphide.

If inhaled remove from area of exposure and bring fresh air. Get medical attention immediately.  

Note to Physician: Supportive and symptomatic treatment, avoid alcohol or digestible fats and oils. In case of pulmonary edema, maximum doses of glucorticold should be given. Incubation maybe needed plus oxygen administration.

Warning this product maybe harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin.

Precaution: Ratkill can cause death when inhaled or swallowed. Never handle Ratkill with bare hands. Use rubber gloves. Wash thoroughly hands or clothes which have had contact with Ratkill.
